Hello,

I already have a Schecter C1 Classic as per my sig which I really like. I'd like to get another guitar for drop tunings (br00talz ). It would be for things like Killswitch Engage (Drop C) and In Flames (C Standard or Drop A#)

Budget is around £750 - 900. I'm left handed which limits the choice somewhat.

I was considering the LTD EC1000 vintage black:

But then I saw Schecter's 2014 lineup and the Hellraiser Hybrid caught my eye:

But there's a few other Schecters with Blackouts or even some passive pickups:

Which do you think would work best for me? Any alternate suggestions also welcome.

I would suggest going out and trying guitars. We can't tell you what's going to work for you.

It's lucky to find a guitar shop in the UK that has one left handed guitar in stock, let alone one I'm interested in.

If I can get an idea on what people would recommend then I can always ask a shop to order one in, but to do that I need to narrow down the field a bit.

The EC-1000 should be nice, however in your case if you got that, then i'd use the EC-1000 in normal tuning, and use the C-1 for dropped tuning, because of it's slightly longer scale length.

Personally, i'd try put something totally new, a baritone probably. This may do you well, has a long scale length which would probably help for the tunings you're in (and allow you to tune even lower should you want to). http://www.gak.co.uk/en/esp-ec401b-%28black-satin/79321
That is if you can find a leftie of it in production...

I would narrow it down to these. I admit it's partially because I'm a big fan of Blackouts, but mid-quality Schecters are generally solid guitars.

This guy is right-The ec-1000 isn't the best bet for drop tuning- I have mine set up with 12-54 in drop c and occasionally drop b and it handles it,but not as well as other guitars. I have played...
