do i use the code button to post a chord?

do i need to use "code" button for each string, or is there a way to use "code" once to post a single chord (or multiple chords)?

thanks..

Hi FF, just an elaboration on Jazz's post:

Before using Code:

e:-0--1--|
B:-0--1--|
G:-0--1--| things not lining up all squarely
D:-0--1--| multiple spaces are not respected
A:-0--1--|
E:-0--1--|

After using Code:

e:-0--1--|
B:-0--1--| ahh that's better, spacings respected,
G:-0--1--| be sure to select 'Courier New' for font,
D:-0--1--| it just lines all characters up evenly
A:-0--1--|
E:-0--1--|

what it will look like in your message box before you post it:

(CODE)
e:-0--1--|
B:-0--1--|
G:-0--1--|
D:-0--1--|
A:-0--1--|
E:-0--1--|(/CODE)

Notice I have Used ()'s instead of []'s just so you can see the format.

don't forget to select "Preview Post" to check before Submitting.

Good Luck!

e:-0--1--| B:-0--1--| G:-0--1--| D:-0--1--| A:-0--1--| E:-0--1--|

ok, so i copied the above sample, hit the # button once and pasted this entire block :

e:-0--1--|
B:-0--1--|
G:-0--1--|
D:-0--1--|
A:-0--1--|
E:-0--1--|

into the one code box, and hit "enter" then posted it...

that was my problem, (see how it comes out one after the other instead of one under each other)

how do i get it to be like a tab not all one line? hence the question if i would need to post each line seperately in 6 code brackets for the six strings... thats where im confused... how to get them one under another instead of side to side?

thanks

write everything out and surround it by
tags. Same effect.

Perfect, much thanks!
