A couple months ago I decided to strip and repaint my TD strat. I've had it for ages and there were a lot of cracks/chips in it. Also the paint was flaking off around the neck and the back. So I thought to hell with it, I'm doing it. It's not perfect, there are a few things I will touch up eventually but I like the way it turned out. The colour is light sapphire blue (metallic).

I preferred the slightly battered finish, made the guitar seem more personal to you.

Did you wet sand the finish? It doesn't look like it.

If not I highly suggest you wet sand and then high-speed buff it with a swirl remover compound. It will make the paint job look that much better
