Life is not a rainbow path
That leads straight to a pot of gold
It's a rush hour traffic jam
With far too many tolls

Stained glass brilliance that glimpses in
A sanctuary it is not
No safe haven, nothing sacred
When everybody thinks they're God

No, life's a twisted Rubik's cube
Confusing, frustrating at least
'Til you just took the stickers off
And rearranged it all perfectly

So color me eternally grateful
With the entire spectrum of my soul
