Hey man!

I'm currently playing a lot of Seether these days on acoustic, which "requires" a lower tuning. I was just wondering which guitar strings, and gauge would be ideal for that type of music?

Perhaps, does anyone know which strings Seether uses for acoustic guitars?

most of Seether's stuff is just a half step down. that won't effect the strings that much.
open E tuning will quickly kill a set of strings( but the black crowe's "she talks to angels" sounds so much better in it)
need more gear and a lot more talent(courtesytuxs)

that Gingy, depends on the instrument and personal taste. stuff like Remedy and Bother i use lights on a smaller 'Hog top Grand Auditorium guitar. most other stuff i prefer a larger body Grand Symphony strung with mediums for more volume, bass and overall " Oomph ! ".
that Martin D-35 looks to be strung with mediums which is a bit rare for a martin. also in Drop D and tuned a half step down.
