Hello, I went to play my Bugera v55 today and got what sounded like preamp overdrive. I was recently pushing the 12ax7s but even with the preamp volume very low I still get overdrive. No pedals are on, it's on the clean channel, all tubes are lit.

Any ideas???
Thx in advance

Probably just a preamp tube dying - or power tubes. Buy a spare (which you should already have) and try it in each position until the issue goes away. If that doesn't solve it throw in your spare power tubes. If that doesn't solve it then you have a more serious problem that probably can't be solved in a forum thread.
I assume that you've tried the obvious things? Cables, guitar, cleaned the tube sockets, cleaned the jacks, checked speaker connection, etc.

Solved the problem. Power adaptor was not in my tremelo pedal and maybe turned my od pedal on but then when I hit the od pedal it got more distorted but sounded exactly like preamp distortion.

But then again,
Thanks cathbard for try to help me out yet again

Most times it is something very obvious like that. Always look for the simple solution first.
