Hi. New to the forum.
I'm wondering if flat wound strings are worth the extra cash or if I will notice the difference. Thanks.

You'll notice the difference
I'm assuming this is for a bass guitar
flat wounds feel and sound very different, and are mainly suited for jazz stuff where you will want a much smoother tone
(the same is true for flatwounds on guitar)

Oh sorry about that. Yeah it's for my strat. I guess it's not for me then if it's jazz stuff.

They are good for jazz. Makes a warmer sound. Never hurts to just try them out.
