My band plays in drop C, but our vocalist discovered that Bb minor is a much more comfortable key that C minor so we are looking to down tune to drop Bb. Without getting extended range guitars, how can we adjust guitars to handle such a low tuning? O

Our guitarists use 25.5 inch scale schecter guitars, our bass player uses a fender p bass.

Obviously we are going to need heavier strings but what else can we do? Are their special bridges or other hardware that can be installed to handle lower tunings?

I play on a 25.5 scale between C Standard to Drop A. I like the DR DDT strings a lot for low tunings. You do wanna make sure you got the guitars set up for it though.
