hey Everyone,
I have an Orange AD 5 that decided to not turn on anymore. I had it checked out and it was determined that the power tubes and fuses are all good. Would that mean that its the power transformer? Is that something that goes out often? The shop guy didn't want to fix it.. he retubed my JCM 900 no problem. but now am I left with a dead AD 5 ?? Thanks in advance for any help on this.

if the tubes and fuses are bad, order a new set and pop them in. Honestly though it sounds like your tech knows how to bias an amp, but not maintenance it. I'd look for a good tech myself.

Try using different power cables and outlets before you sink money into sending it to a good tech. If it's not that, maybe try contacting Orange to see what they say.
