Hi
I have a Laney Ironheart 60, it worked fine for the first three months or so, but then suddenly the volume started to fade up and down (without me touching the volume knob ofc) and i heard a small cracking sound. So i bought new cables, but the problem is still there.

Usually it helps when i turn the amp on standby and just plug my cable in and out of my guitar a couple of times, (I've tried different guitars so it's not the guitar). But the problem usually comes back after 10-15 min, but sometimes it's worked for over 1 hour without any problem. It can be all from lowering the volume a tiny bit to almost not hearing a thing,

Can it be a problem with the volume pot? or maybe not enough power reaches the amp? i'ts weird that it works after replugging my guitar..

Thanks for the help.

Power tubes are ****ed.

But just in case, clean the socket on the guitar. Buy some contact cleaner (Deoxit is good), spray it on a plug and work it in and out of the jack a few times. You are using the plug as an applicator.
Do the same thing with the tube sockets, using the tube pins in the same way as the plug.

Yep, get a new set of power tubes. Most new amps ship with crap tubes

JJ tubes are always a safe bet. The JJ E34L would be good in it

The British Laneys come with JJ's (well, I know the GH100 does). I'd be interested to know what is in the Ironheart.

just by looking at them i can se it saying "RUBY 6L6GCMSTR" on them, if that helps. They cost 40 dollars for a set on musician's friend,

Those are Chinese Shuguangs. One of the better Shuguangs but Shuguangs nonetheless. Better off with what Rob recommended.

Since you're from Europe I can recommend tube-town.de, probably more practical then ordering from america, and they have the JJ34L (which is a good choice by the way)

Oh I missed the Europe part.
Watford valves in the UK are good from what I hear.

These would be fine also
