Hi there,

What I was thinking of doing is write bass parts in Guitar Pro, export them as midi files and then open them with a VST plugin. I found this plugin called '4Front Bass' but whenever I use it won't play the lower notes.

Does anyone know why or does anyone know a better way for recording virtual bass guitar?

Thanks!

I think 4front bass only plays as low as D1 or something. Either transpose the low notes an octave higher or find a vsti bass with a larger range. Could also transpose the low notes an octave higher, then pitch shift them down again
For Frodo!

Try using an instrument that's more easily emulated like a synth or keyboard. The low end of a Rhodes or a Clav sounds pretty good.

Export as WAV and use an amp emulator (like Guitar Rig) on your DAW, that's what I do for guitars.
