hello has anyone got a personal opinion about the celestion 12" super 65. Are they good for heavy metal ,hard core?
#2
A v30 would be better.

AFAIK they are a cheapish version of the G12-65.
I wouldn't really use G12-65 for metal.

I'd go for eminence governors or v12, WGS or celestion v30s or K100s,.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

I got some specs from an email .It is very light weight 2.2 kg ,power rating is 65wms and sensitivity 96db .They are also used in the Laney LV300Twin amp .

Yeah, I knew that already.
These specs don't tell you anything about the sound, really.

Why are you interested in them in particular?

I agree. For heavy metal and hardcore, you can't go wrong with a Celestion V30.

If you need a cheaper alternative, get a WGS Veteran 30.
