So i spent ages trying to a 1983 Japanese Epiphone like this one...http://i680.photobucket.com/albums/vv162/jonnyg_photo/Riviera.jpg

After months of trying i have now decided i want to get something that looks the exact same but also not easy, so how easy/hard is it to get a similar model but paint a different colour and modify the look?

I know it wont sound the same but thats even that important to me.

thanks

There are a lot of guitars out there with that body style from a lot of different makers and for a wiiiiide variety of prices.

In fact, that type of guitar is still made by Epiphone, in several different colors and prices. It may not be as good as that one you linked to. You'll also be able to find them from Ibanez, Hagstrom, Gretsch, Gibson, Eastwood, Carvin, Reverend, Godin...the list goes on.

Check out sellers like Guitar Center, Sweetwater and Thomann.

I need it the exact same colour but cant find it anywhere. Im told they dont make them anymore?

Price isnt an issue but must look as close as possible .

Looks like a dark tobacco burst, possibly with walnut as the top wood- should be pretty easy to find something resembling it in most product lines with a similar guitar.

Look at Carvin. They have an amazing amount of available finishes, and their quality is top notch.

Also, if you send Carvin a picture with your order they will try to color match.
