I haven't mixed in a couple years, and I have decided to throw my hat back in the ring.

Here is the current mix I am working with (my band). I was hoping someone could give me some tips on how to tighten up mix in general, but the kick and drum sounds are especially killing me. Any thoughts or tips?

Drums: Addictive drums + drumagog
Guitars and bass: Nick Crow 7170 into Catharsis impulses

Thanks!

https://soundcloud.com/ritterdemos/precursor-5-24-2014 i think i've made some progress with the drums. I purchased SSD4.0 and it sounds a lot better imo, but still not "there". Now the vocals are pissing me off. Any thoughts/suggestions?

DRI,
Audio quality is pretty good. Drums sound good. The song itself is quite good in my opinion. A few of the vocals are slightly pitchy, but not unusual for this genre, not a big deal. If you are picky about that, I recommend Melodyne; can't think of any other vocal tips. I think the vocal audio quality is better than average for this forum. I don't think many people would gripe much about the vocal audio quality considering it is pop punk: not expected to be pristine. Guitars/riffs sound good. Please review my music at this link:
