HI!

Feel free to move the thread if this is the wrong forum to post in. I wasn't sure where to put it.

I have a Shure PSM-200 in ear monitor system. The transmitter died on me last week and tour starts in two weeks. When I plug it in, nothing lights up and it doesn't transmit the signal but the signal from the microphone plugged in still goes to the mixer.
I tried a different power adapter but it still didn't work (It didn't have the same specifics except voltage and Hz).

As I can't get just a new transmitter, I'm thinking of buying a new system because I really can't sing/play well without it (I can never hear myself sing...on stage monitoring is always crappy).

I was looking into these:

I don't worry about the ear buds quality. I got those. I'm only worried about the transmitter/receiver.

They are all cheaper than the PSM200 (Which was 500euros).

What do you guys think?

Let me know

Thanks in advance!

I can't really understand how the two things above cope with each other...
Is it that you can't just get either the transmitter or the receiver alone for the setup you already have or what?

Anyway, if you already gut the earphones and you have da cash, I'd go for a sennheiser SR 2000 IEM + EK 2000 IEM combo.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

I run this

I got it because all the other units were too expensive. I also got it on a payment plan which really made the purchase easier for me. I actually bought mine while ON tour and shipped them to a place we would be staying at in about a week. Works like a charm. There were some pops the first time I tried it, but every other time it worked just great. The actual ears are horrid, I'm using Gorilla Ears.

I think the system I chose is a great budget unit and does the job just fine. Haven't had a problem since.
