Hi, I feel like I take too long to warm-up for rhythm. At the start of every practice session, I have difficulty playing riffs 175 - and it takes me maybe 18-20 min of gradual playing to reach my relaxed speed at 200-210. I usually warm-up with songs with increasing speed : 175, then 190, 200, 210.

I see people who just "pick up a guitar" and then they can play along the drums or so. I feel like it is a disadvantage at moments when the practice session is very short, when everyone else would be finished warming up, or when I wish to demonstrate something for a person.

I was wondering if anyone has a good warm-up routine/exercise for rhythm/down-picking, or if I am being inefficient.
