I'm not really a huge gear head so I need a little help with something. I want to use 2 stack amps for my live sound for stereo. Can I use my GT10 as the middle man and where exactly am I plugging everything?

why the hell do you want two stacks? yes your unit likely has stereo abilities. but thats too much amp.

i drag one 4x12" around and i get harassed

i use a 2x12" for gigging half the time. the other half 4x12"

The GT 10 has unbalanced 1/4" left and right outs. Use those. One going to one amp and one the other.

But I agree with thrash. Too much amp. You don't need 2 stacks unless you are Judas Priest, Iron Maiden or Metallica.

I'm the only guitar player in the band so were trying to make it sound full. I watched another local band do the same thing with 1 guitar player and the sound was amazing. Thanks for the responses though.

"Only a 4 piece"?! Wouldn't having 2 frickin' stacks piss off your bandmates? And what stadium are you playing in un-mic'ed. I don't think places around my neighborhood would even let you use 2 full stacks. Thats either ****ing rockstar or supermegaoverkill. What are the amps?

And have you looked into a looper?

Sometimes there is no mics. And were playing a couple big outdoor shows soon so I just want to experiment.

yea i don't always have them either. i have ran a 2x12" on each side before in one band. i wasn't running stereo, just dual mono and i was using my splawn nitro IIRC.

What you do is have your own mic and stand. Then YOU set it up and hand the end of the lead to the sound guy, saying, "here's my guitar." I've never know a sound guy to say, "no I don't want control over guitar volume." That would be simply absurd. He'd be padded room material.
