Hey this is my first post,

Just asking for some opinions on what speakers I should get for my amp. I have a vox ac30cc2x and it comes with the Chinese copies of the alnico blues. I want to change them into something that does more of a rock 'n' roll sound (think marshall) This amp is a 2x12 so mixing is an option.

I've been looking at this:

I haven't tried them in your amp, but I reckon that'd work.

i have a genz benz black pearl which is sorta/ish a more modern ac30, and it has alnico eminence red fangs. it sounded a fair bit rockier when i tried it with g12h30s (the heritage 55hz ones). I thought it was a bit middy with only greenbacks, though. one of each is normally a nice, "best of both worlds" mix.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

The CC2X has the real genuine Alnico Blues. They're not copies, they retail for 250 each. Not that it means they're the right sound for you, just don't toss them or something because you're under the impression they're junky chinese copies.

That set you linked is a really good set for slightly heavier AC30 sets. That's what they use in Matchless DC30s, great rock amp.

Thanks for the helpful advice. I will now be keeping my alnico blues but swapping them out for a greenback and a weber reaper thanks Robbgnarly!

No problem

But it is a WGS not a Webber.
Those speakers I linked are a 50watt Greenback clone and a G12h30 clone
