So I've had a VOX wah pedal since about late 2012/early 2013, and it's worked great except that now, for about maybe a couple months, it's been creaking really bad, I've tried oiling it but it didn't help for very long, is it possible I just need a new one? Should I go back to the music shop where I got it? I got it at Bananas At Large in San Rafael (CA, for those who aren't from the area). I've bought a lot of things there besides my wah pedal including my 2 guitars; CD140SCE acoustic/electric guitar and my Squire Bullet Stratocaster, as well as my Fender Mustang II amp, and a set of .8 gauge strings. So let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

lube it up

What did you use before? I would try some white lithium grease in the spray can.

contrary to popular belief, WD-40 does not actually lubricate anything, it is a solvent and will remove grease from components. It dries very quick and when it dries it evaporates. White lithium will dry to a point, but will keep a protective coating. I work in salt 8water all the time and I use it one my work boat all the time.
