hey guys good morning, i saw a dean performer guitar for really cheap and when i saw it it said is was for parts or non working and when i got told about the problem they said it was that the only problem was that the eq was eating batteries, the guitar is on sale for 135 bucks, im wondering how do you fix that?

Did they leave the cord plugged into the guitar? When you unplug the guitar cord, the active electronics should turn off and stop using the battery. If you leave the guitar plugged in, you will drain batteries like mad.
Something may be shorting in one of the components if that's not it. Maybe a pickup? Hard to say, but replacing all the wires and knobs isn't a huge deal. Try that first if you get it.
