Okay ,so I have pretty much got the rest of the basics down pat for slide playing: Intonation, muting, rhythm, tunings and basic licks. But one thing I struggle with is how to keep a steady bassline going with the thumb while playing melodically with the slide in the treble voice. Can anybody help me out here? If it helps, what I'm going for when playing slide is to create an instrumental, self-contained blues solo, sort of like this guy here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCAFy0BlCwQ albeit I play on acoustic. Any help will be greatly appereciated. Thanks in advance!
