Guitar mute recommendations please- whether a generic product or a DIY solution.
On my electric guitar I never use open strings, so is there something that can clean up my playing by stopping stray harmonics and open strings from ringing, preferably something that enables me to finger at fret one, or at least fret two.
Thanks,
Tristan.

I keep one of these on my acoustic so when I am finger-picking in some crazy key like Bb I won't get any stray zingers that are completely atonal. A little open string jangle can add character to a song in a relative key but not in Bb.
