I am installing a set of Hammer/Chisel railhammer pickups in a guitar project, based on their wiring PFD (see image) i should be running the black to the volume control, the red and white taped off together and the green and the braided to a bridge ground. RIGHT? black to volume is kinda counter to every wiring schematic that has ever been like EVER so i wanted to get your opinions.

Every guitar and bass forum I've visited has some people chasing some magical tone that will shoot jizzing unicorns riding on a rainbow out of their amp.

I can't see the image.

Usually it doesn't matter If the hot wire goes to the volume first or switch first. That just means that the volume is ahead of the switch in this case.
