Basically, the mounting screws on one side of both pickups are borked. The bit where you insert the screwdriver, with the X shape hole? Those seem to have worn out, and I cant get a grip with my screw driver when I try to adjust the pickups. The screws on the other side are fine. Any idea how I can get this fixed?

take the pickup rings/pick-guard off and press the bottom of the pickup
This will compress the spring
Then get a small pair of pliers and grab the screw head, untwist

You should be able to get replacements at your local hardware/fastener store. If not you can very easily order them from online.

It doesn't have a mounting ring

This, exactly.

Do you have any small flat-head screw drivers like these?

May need a bit bigger but this is to give you an idea.

But I'd only try a flat head at first
if it will fit and make decent contact, it will work to get them out. If that doesn't work, you may have to get a screw extractor set

Nope, nothing like that

Imma take it to the shop tom, since it seems I have nothing that might work, all I have is a normal set.

It IS possible to get it down without raping the gutiar right? It's brand new, and the idea of cutting it up cuts my soul.
