Planning to go custom at somepoint this year because I just want something that's unique and kind of an extension of myself, but I thought why go custom if I can get what I want retail. I've not exactly got any exquisite tastes or anything!

7 String V
C shaped neck profile
no trem
Ebony fingerboard
mahogany body
string through

Thanks UG, long time no post too!

Yeah ESP/LTD does most of that, The only thing I'm not sure about is the C shape.

Edit: it was the Hex 7 I was thinking of, it has a thin U neck, but otherwise it meets all the specs.
I'm just a kickin' and a gougin' in the mud and the blood and the beer.

You could check the Mayones Vidius. Not a traditional V body shape or necessarily C shape neck, but I'll tell you. Both necks on Mayones Setius and Regius that I tried, they're far much better than anything you can get off the shelf, at least for me.

Gonna check out that LTD, tell you what I think of it, I mean a custom would be great, but it's just funds I don't have right now (at all)

Would definitely take a look at ESP.

I think there's some kind of BC Rich that fits that too.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

Gonna skip the Schecter V. Too much signature stuff on it for me.

Looking at the ESP now!
