So, I was using my Marshall at a gig on Friday night. It was on all of the night and it was being pushed louder than I usually have it in my bedroom (I think it was on 4 or 6)

Anyway, here's my question...

It overheated. Which I thought was weird, so my first question is, are the 2203/2204's prone to overheating problems?

and B) What would cause this problem? Would it be the fact I had my Laney AOR on top of it, or is it just simply me pushing my tubes really hard and having three bands play through it with a difference in volume?

Thought you guys would know more than me on this one!

They aren't known for it, no. Covering the top vent certainly wouldn't have helped. Have you checked the biasing?

I'd like too, but I haven't been able to take it to a tech yet!

^ How you doin'? Have not seen you in awhile.

You don't need to take it to a tech.

You can get a bias probe and check the bias yourself without removing the chassis. If it seems too high, then worry about it.

See if this helps:

But anyway - are there any new updates?

Pretty good 311!

It's weird, the Marshal is ok, in the sense that it works. I'll get a bias prob and check the bias!

I have found some amps really apreciate a fan blowing air over the tubes.

And Biasing is really easy especially with a bias probe
