What and where can i get all the possible chords that are compatible with a major or minor pentatonic scale. I know you get like 2 sus chords and one major or minor but is there any others scale progressions i can use to solo over with the pentatonic i understand chord progression for the 7 note major or minor but not the pentatonic its kind of confusing thanks so much!

Matt, the major pentatonic is just the major scale less two notes. It is diatonic to major chord progressions.

The minor pentatonic is just the minor scale less two notes. It is diatonic to minor chord progressions.
And no, Guitar Hero will not help. Even on expert. Really.

Jon Finn's Modern Rock Improvisation Book explains the concept very nicely, should you want to look into it a bit more.

Also has a nice explanation of modes that builds from the pentatonic scale

Why would TS get into this, when he doesn't understand basic diatonic concepts?
