Korg have just announced the a reissue of the SDD-3000 rack mounted digital delay in pedal format.

Think it's one of the delays that The Edge used on a lot of U2 stuff. His guitar tech has helped design it, and it looks pretty versatile.

I fail to understand why I would use that rather than the (most likely cheaper) 19" rack unit paired with a midi foot controller, so I could have more recalling options and stuff...

I guess it's just for the convenience of having a pedal that can go on the board. Although you will need a decent sized board to fit this thing on!
