I spotted something on eBay that I had never seen before. It was a really nice Fender Fretless Precision Bass - Thinline. I had no idea this existed and was intrigued to say the least. I struggled with the "should I?" "can I afford it?" barrier of common sense and eventually overcame that but it was an auction that ended at 4:00 am and I like to be present to counter any last 30 second assassins. I couldn't stay awake. I was relieved to find that nobody bid and it was re-listed as a "Buy It Now".
A Fender MIJ PBAC-100FL. Something of a rarity even in Japan I'm told.
Fender-Lace Sensor & Piezo bridge pickups. The piezo only works in tandem with the Lace pup. Along with a blend tone pot this provides an array of tonal options that go warm or bright. This isn't a metal bass. Nice neck too. Fretless with lines and dots. It was strung with rounds but I don't see any chew marks. In fact the whole guitar was virtually ding free. I have one super glue drop fill and the rest of the guitar is beautiful. Pretty nice for a bass made in 1990. I have a feeling this wasn't used much.
