so, i was carrying my cab to a gig... long story short, the cab slipped and 3 speaker cones were ripped.
this is a week after i spent most of my money on a new head

anyway, i own 2 guitar amps, a jcm800 2203 and a 6505+ heads and im looking for a cab that would suit both of them.

i use the JCM mostly for older hardcore punk / punk rock / stoner / sludge sounds
and the peavey for more modern sounds(metalcore, etc)...

my broken cab is a 1960a with g12t 75w...
should i just buy another 1960 or is there something that could suit me better?

Well that depends on what you want, but V30's work well with the 5150/6505 amps and they work decent with the JCM800. The V30 and G12h30 mix well and Mark Morto (LOG) uses this setup.
The V30 and CL80 work well togeather and it is a good combo for all around music.
The V30 and the K100 work really good for drop tuned modern metal tones.
The V30 and G12T75 are a good pair for punk, metal and most harder styles of music.

I personally like the G12h30 with Marshall amps.

I own a JCM2000 and I have a 4x12 with Eminence V12's (which are kind of a less agressive V30), a 2x12 with Celestion G12h30's, and a Eminence GB128 (Greenbackish). I like them all and I play in a Prog-rock/metal band and played in a Punk/Hardcore band for years.

For your amps, I'd probably go V30 and G12T75 in an X pattern.

Speakers can get expensive because there are so many choices and lots are really nice.
