Just recently purchased the 6505+ 112. I have read around and seen many a people say to throw an od pedal in the loop to tighten it up. What is best for a great dropped tuning distortion tone? And are there any sound clips that show what the od pedal would bring to the party?
Thanks for any help!

Before the amp, not in the loop.

Ibanez Tube Screamer
Green Rhino
Bad Monkey

Plenty to choose from.

A short video that gives you an idea as to what an overdrive can do.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
