I love cabbage. My mom used to give it to me for dinner all the time and I'd gobble it up because I didn't know what it was, but then I heard other people say cabbage was gross so I agreed with them until one day I asked her what I was eating and she said CABBAGE.

I'm eating it fried with rice and oyster sauce now. would you do the same as me?

It's so so to me.

This leads to some very interesting shit.

Do I taste cabbage differently from you guys, and that's why I don't like it as much, or do we all taste the cabbage the same and I just don't like it as much?

Most probably the second one.

It's definitely better than broccoli, but I do love lettuce more than most things.

In regular salads, I'm not crazy about it. Steamed, I am fond.

In slaw, I'm allllll over that.
This ends now, eat the goddamn beans!

Different varieties of cabbage also taste a lot different from each other and the preparation influences it a LOT (not just if it's cooked properly, but also the manner in which it's served). Some people can taste the bitter compounds in cabbage a lot easier though.

I don't really like raw cabbage except for certain breeds.

Seriously, just cook cabbage down with some butter, salt, and pepper. It's so good simply cooked like that.

Yep, chinese cabbage is one of the most nutrient dense vegetables, knowing that helps me nom it down.

xiaoxi over here in bum i pick wild raspberries along my fields. we like to make wild raspberry sorbet. we have yet to test the wild blackberries. the wild strawberries are for the turtles. i pick my own corn, season permitting, and around halloween i cut my own pumpkins free for pie or otherwise. my pomegranate tree is coming in nicely. there are things to eat. mostly southern recipes around here. i just don't like the taste of food all that much.

Also, I feel like people are overlooking Brussels sprouts. Slow roasted, golden brown sprouts drizzled with olive oil and s&p? Dear god.

How does cabbage keep coming with so many great options?

Seriously the best. I like brussels sprouts.

mmmmmm I love cabbage. Cabbage in salad is ace (especially purple cabbage, that's proper next level), and cabbage in soups like fake ramens and stuff. So good.

I like brussels sprouts as well.

I don't like that they need to be spelled with an S like they're plural, thinking they're fancy. Fancy pants sprouts.

Amazing thing to do with brussel sprouts, check it:

Take brussel spouts
Chop of the end (the bottom bit) of each
peel the leaves off
Put the leaves in a pan with olive oil and chopped pistachios and some salt
eat
enjoy
the rest of your life is happy now
it's all just coming back
it's all coming back

Depends. It can be tolerable so long as noone from my family has cooked it. Or are anywhere near me in the hours after consuming it.
