Sup UG,

I've been on the hunt for a Peavey Classic 50 (older tweed covered model) head for a while now, and a 2x12 cab of some description to go along with it. I've just been offered a combination for a great price to be sold "as is", and the seller says the head has needed a new power supply unit for about a year and he's just not got round to it.

If I was to take his word for it and assume the only problem is the PSU needing to be replaced, how do I go about finding a new one and fitting it safely? Has anyone done this before?

Thanks!

Wont it just be a standard kettle lead?

That'll be the power cable yeah, but I'm assuming by stating power supply unit he's actually referring to the internal transformer.. I'm waiting on confirmation of that, but he's pretty slow at replying so I'm trying to find what information I can in the mean time so I know whether or not it's worth accepting his offer.

Hopefully he has just lost the kettle lead and doesn't know how simple it is
