if it's a US made one then they are fantastic. the higher end Korean ones are nice. the cheaper stuff is on par with most other lower budget guitars

The resale value on Hamer guitars isn't all that great, shouldn't be a dealbreaker but something to keep in mind. They make some pretty nice guitars though.

How much $?
Fender Mustang/Derfenstein DST> Boss Power Wah> Pedal Monsters Klone> Bogner Uberschall> Walrus Audio Janus> Randall RM20> Line 6 M9> Randall RM20

Isn't Alex Skolnick a Hamer player?
Sturgeon's 2nd Law, a.k.a. Sturgeon's Revelation: “Ninety percent of everything is crap.”

Why, yes, I am a lawyer- thanks for asking!

Log off and play yer guitar!

Strap on, tune up, rock out!

Heritage for alex. as for the resale value that shouldn't be a big issue as Hamer is out of production so can only be bought on the used market. there is tons of room for them togo up in value.
