you're at the wawa in hydraberg, prussia and you order a hoagie. they just called order #11 and you're #24 so you decide to take a stroll around the city. you don't want to take too long, really wanting to eat that hoagie and all, so you commit to only crossing each bridge once and only once, staying within the city limits, and ending up at wawa again when you're done. what path do you take?

here are the explicit rules:
1. you may only move along the grass (green) and the bridges (brown)
2. you may not cross the water (blue)
3. you may only cross each bridge (brown) once
4. to cross you must enter one end and exit the other. no turning around mid bridge.
5. you must end where you began (at the wawa)
6. you can't leave the city (black outer disk)
7. edit: you have to cross each bridge

if you've found solution, go ahead and mock it up in paint.

part 2:

rules remain the same except you may start and end anywhere
i don't know why i feel so dry

Yeah there are three bridges that lead back to Wawa, so that's down - up - down, so you're always gonna end up back down the bottom

that was quick. so let's expand. the rules remain the same except you may start and end anywhere, your hoagie be damned.

aye that's easy.
take the bottom right bridge, then the one to the left, then the first one down, then the next one up, then up to the top, then the top right

never mind, Gary already did it better

Unless you're going to tell me each separate bridge is one, which it's not because then they wouldn't be separated by green.

Still can't do it.

Yeah I don't think it can be done either, cause you'll pretty much always end up on one of the middle islands, or you'll have left the horizontal bridge untraveled.

I think?

Nowhere in the rules does it say you have to go on every bridge though.

it says in the opening paragraph before the picture.

so you commit to only crossing each bridge once and only once,

That doesn't say you have to cross them all. Just you can only cross each one once. Not my fault the OP is a fail.

^ 2 and 2 is 4 yes.

it's obvious what i meant because it wouldn't be a puzzle otherwise. i edited the op anyway.

edit: anyone who claims it can't be done should produce an explanation.

It's because there's an odd number of bridges connected to each body of land, so you'll always end up being stuck on one before you can get to the last.

how long does this hoagie even take to make

Usually like five minutes unless they're backed up and then it's like "Come on. I'm just standing here forever like a jerk."

Any destination (there are four of them total) with only three bridges (three of the four) MUST be where you end which isn't possible, unless its where you start but then you can't end there.

Clearly this is impossible. I choose to wait and walk around with my sandwich. I'm not ******ed; I can enjoy a sandwich, walk and take in sights simultaneously.

Luckily I am not black and therefore know how to swim, so I can get across just fine whilst still using each bridge only once

it's ok for me to say that because my brother-in-law is black.

Coincidentally, he doesn't know how to swim.

You can't do it anywhere (unless we're talking some unorthodox out of the box bs) since the island with three bridges on the right screws everything up.

1) If you start on the island: You must take a bridge to leave. 2 bridges left. You must take a bridge to get back to the island. 1 left. Your only option is to take the last bridge off the island. You lose.

2) If you start anywhere else: You must cross one bridge to get on the island and one to get off. The final bridge remains and you can only go back to the island. You lose.

Also, they don't have Wawa's in Konigsberg, otherwise Euler would have been jittery af from all the coffee.

Every land mass has to have an even number of bridges ( so you can enter and exit) otherwise you'll get stuck somewhere.
