Hi all,

I just picked up my first 6-string acoustic guitar (after playing bass for 7 years), and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good resources for Perfect 4th (EADGCF) tuning?

I mean like a total beginners to intermediate level guide... Like "Guitar For Dummies" but all exercises are written for P4 tuned guitars.

Thanks.

Why not just transpose ones that are already written for the tuning?

It's really not a common thing so almost no one covers it. Even guys like Tom Quayle who play in it habitually don't teach in it.

Thanks. I've been doing a lot of looking around, and I think you're right....

I found this link which has different chords for P4 tuning:

I'm also going to go through Justin's Beginners Guitar Course

http://www.justinguitar.com/en/BC-000-BeginnersCourse.php

And I'll substitute the P4 chords with the standard tuning chords he shows, but go through the lessons in order.
