I used to butter the bread, but not the skillet (cast iron), and I use real butter.

Then I started eating healthy.
This ends now, eat the goddamn beans!

I use butter. I don't like mayo. But you can use mayo instead of butter and that's supposed to be really good.

Because it's a dairy product?

Stop making me feel weird for where I store food.

but butter never goes off and as long as you keep it covered (like in a tin or something) nothing can get to it. I prefer to keep it out cause then you can actually spread it on things

+1 Where I used to work they would quickly grill tolera rolls with mayo and it always smelt so good. Have no idea how it tasted though tbh.

Butter on the bread

Fun tip after you flipped it the first time stick another piece of cheese and bread on top then flip it once more and youll have a triple decker grilled cheese.

These are all very good ideas Wiegenlied but this is a thread about butter! (or margarine)!

you spelled sandwiches wrong in the thread title

lol

It was a clever inclusion of the word "which," because in the case of this thread, there are multiple options, so I'm asking which one you prefer.

That's from the melt bar and grill, 13 different cheese on that, 3 bread slices, with fries it's like 5 lbs. I made one like it (smaller) with 4 different cheeses and bread from the bakery. Thought I'd share this piece of food porn here.

Eww way too much to be enjoyable. Not to mention the constipation you'll endure.

Then it's not even remotely grilled cheese though.

Butter on bread, oil on pan(if you don't have good pans). Nothing else is acceptable.

Meh, the breads pretty thick and there's 3 slices so it'd even out, plus it's kind of an eating challenge that one. You could split it was someone.

I imagine they have more since they're called the melt.

Even splitting it still would be too much for my taste. It's just too much cheese.
I wonder how much this sandwich is though.

Doesn't list it on the site, but you get a gift card if you finish it, and they have a more appealing picture.
