I wasn't happy with the stock speaker that came with the 65 DR that I had so I wanted to change the speaker in it. As I was prepping to remove it I realized that the screws located on the speaker weren't facing my direction, but the direction of the grill cloth. Could someone shed some light on this and give any instructions as to how you get a speaker out of a DR. Thanks. (Attached is a photo of the back of a DR similar to mine. Do the screws on the side attach to the grill cloth?)

i think i've seen a guide somewhere online about doing this swap- have you tried googling?
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

those look like nuts holding the speaker on. you should just be able to get a deep socket to take them off
punk isn't dead, it's always smelled that way.

Yep, those are studs so you need a socket or nut driver.
