So my new ESP arrived with 10-46 guage strings on it, on my jackson i use Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 9-42 (Awesome strings for bends)...
10-46 (Not so much)..

Any way, just wondering if any of you ESP guitar owners use 9-42 guage strings with better results??

Decide for yourself if you like it. String gauge is not guitar dependent, it's preference dependent.

Exactly. I use Skinny Top Heavy Bottoms, and tune to D Standard. Being a full step down, the heavier gauge low strings feel tight and crisp, while the standard gauge high strings are a little looser, and great for bends. When I get a 7 string (hopefully this year), I'm gonna try using a 6 string hybrid slinky set, with an extra 60 for the low string. That's what Keith Merrow uses, and I've got a few friends with 7 stringers who use the same.

I have used 9-42 for over 20 years now, I'm not one for trying new things
I'll use these and then set up with the new guage..

My recordings on here are done with 9-42 Hybrids

I use 9-42 on my PRS and they work just fine. I have used 9-42 on tele's, LP's and pretty much any guitar I have owned at one time or another.

I now have different gauge sets on my guitars because that is my preference
