Can somebody please tell me exactly where to solder the wires for P94t in a Les Paul for dummies(me).

It will work, but you need to make sure you look at what color your wires are when compared to gibsons color codes.

Look here and it will show you the Gibson wire colors so you can hook it up right

My P94t isn't a humbucker though, it has a red wire which is a dead lead and do i solder directly to the ground on the back of the output jack

Red (dead lead, also hidden) bare, green, white, black. I have the black wire solder to the bridge volume and the white,bare, and green solder to the back of the output jack (ground) and my guitar is seriously messed up now.

Use the humbucker color code from that chart. Your P94t is not a true P90, so the HB diagram will work just fine

and one more question, do i just use the red wire then?

The green and white wires will be connected and tape them off.

The black and bare wire will be soldered to the back of the pot (ground)

The red wire will go to the lug on the pot (where the black wire goes on the Seymour Duncan diagram )
