Ok guys this amp has been the tone that I've been searching for in my head
for years wrapped up in one 1x12 combo package. Clean/Pushed channel is
great compared to my 5150 combo. The cleans though not fender like chime
and have a thick bottom end. Pushed I can nail classic rock with ease think
Zeppelin, The Who, even Sabbath with a OD. Now the gain channel is great
Raw starts where pushed left off and gets slightly heavier but not much so
same thing more gain. Vintage will get me 90's hard rock alternative tones
STP,Nirvana,Soundgarden etc. Hit this with a boost and your in Injustice for all
heaven. Now for modern its a beast this is what sold me gain at 11 hit it with a
boost and your in LOG,Killswitch territory and its heavy thick nasty gain goodness.
Solo boost kicksa** and works very well picks up all your tone alot not just certain
aspects everything. Reverb is ok kinda light but very usable for what I want small
room not total wash out. Features are just endless. Built like a tank but mine to has
the pleather handle cracks and splits. Almost as wide as my 4x12 and no rattles or
buzzes when cranked up. That's about it killer versatile tone machine for the money.

You might want to think twice if your thinking a V30. In an open back cab it can be really harsh.

MF has the K-100's for $89 right now which works well in the rectoverb combo

and HNAD

What did it set you back? they seem to be going for more lately than they were last year.

V30's are in the 2x12 I'm grabbing later this week and I snagged it for
a steal at 400. Very well spent overtime cash.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Like I said the single recto 1x12 I have heard sound really good and thick with the K-100, but you do loose a bit of the highs (nothing you can't EQ out)

The K100s sound good in the Orange and Diezel cabs that were designed for it. I've had the Swamp Thang in combination with the Texas Heat in a 212 for about a year but wasn't really wowed ... personal preferences, etc.

I'd look at a used EVM-12L or Emi's new EM-12 or even the Emi Delta Pro A (86oz magnet, not the 56) which handle/deliver the amp's low Mids and Lows extremely well.

A bunch of the older Mesa cabs have the EVM-12Ls and occasionally show up for silly prices on CL and GC Used.

Yeah same here. I think I preferred the TH on its own I just keep that combo because it sounds a bit different from anything else I have. But yeah I was quite surprised, it's one of the (supposedly) well-regarded Eminence combos, and I didn't really think it was much to write home about. Not awful or anything. Just a bit nondescript or meh.
