Hi all!

This is my first post, so I hope I've done it properly (and apologise in advance if I haven't!).

I've got an old (1970s?) MIJ 'Status' jazz bass - one of these bad boys, in fact: http://www.smpartizan.com/?page_id=975 - but it needs a replacement machinehead.

Unfortunately, it needs a machinehead with a peg of 12mm diameter, and the only machinehead I can seem to buy online with a 12mm diameter is the Schaller M4.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a cheaper (used?) replacement machinehead, I'd be seriously appreciative.

Many thanks
George

Allparts sells Wilkinson tuners individually that are allegedly Schaller copies. Sez they have a Schaller footprint anyway. They're $14 apiece, but I don't know that you'll find anything cheaper unless you just luck up on a used one somewhere. See link below. Good luck.
