Are the less expensive line of G&L guitars of similar quality to the MIM Fenders? Where are they made?

The G&L Tributes are made in Indonesia with essentially the same parts as their USA stablemates. They're at least as good as MiM Fenders

i'd say that generally they're a bit better. at least that's my experience.

better hardware, better electronics, quality work all around.

22 frets!

From what I've heard they are generally slightly better, but you can't judge a book by its cover! The problem is that they are darn near impossible to find in store (I've never seen one). I would say that it is a safer blind buy than a Fender, but try what you can in store to be safe.
