I have an odd question, I am playing guitar for a local western themed melodrama.

I need to play a little riff when anyone of the three characters come up on stage. The heros are obvious enough. The villain is a bit more complicated. Last year I played the main riff for Lamb of God's "Vigil" (acoustically), and it is fitting because it dark.

*However*

I would like to play something more period appropriate.

Does anyone have some ideas/links for "villain music"?

I assume it's on acoustic? Regardless of what you play add some reverb and delay. Bitches love reverb and delay.

Here, have some of this German shit

Maybe this?

Maybe something like this clean riff (skip to 3:30)..

Aerials by SoaD is pretty kewl

Okay **** it, play Locust by Machine Head..

Opeth comes to mind, though not necessarily the Damnation album.

essentially just utilizing the open strings to keep adjacent or even dissonant notes ringing.

There shall be a stop to this madness. The battle is not over. My tasty licks aren't going anywhere.

^ I've just realised if you say Simple Plan's 2011 effort "Get Your Heart On!" really fast in a Southern American accent, it sounds gross. . .like sexual gross!
