Hi all,

I need help in deciding which one of these amps should i buy.

Peavey Vypyr VIP Series Vypyr VIP-2 40w
Peavey Vypyr 30- 30W
Fender Mustang II

I mostly play/listen to Children of Bodom, Poets of the Fall, Slipknot, 3 Doors Down, 32 leaves, Guns n Roses, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, Combichrist, A7x, Santana, Chad Kroeger, Sixx.A.M., Ozzy Osbourne, Paul Gilbert, Dream Theater etc.

So could you guys please help me choose amongst these 3 and tell which will suit the above mentioned bands/styles of music. And if there are any other amps which will be more suitable than these 3, please tell.

Additional Info:
-Budget: (Indian)INR 19000/ $313
-Guitar: Schecter Omen Extreme 6
-Have no previous experience with any sort of amp.
-For practicing at Home

Thanks

Among them, the first one.
It's an improved version of the second, and the third will not have much good high gain tones.

Anyway I'd choose a used peavey vypyr tube or a Jet City 2ch 20w combo over any of them considering what you'd be playing.
Name's Luca.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

I guess spambots are now capable of reading minds.

I'd go for the Peavey Vypyr VIP 2.

It sounds nice, it's very versatile, presumably reliable (judging from the previous Vypyr series), and the ability to use it as a bass and electroacoustic guitars' amp could be useful for you down the road.

Both Peaveys are good choices, but if you ever want to play with a drummer you might find they fall short..... Save a little more dough and buy a used Peavey 5150 for under 500 bucks and blow the roof off.

If its just for home use I think one of the Peavey's will work fine for you. Seems like you like lots of gain so imo the Mustang would be a disappointment for you. Maybe. Roland Cube but not a Mustang.
