Resting mouth, in bythereof
in course by, or beneath, or beside

those tender blanched vegetables,
or fingers - or therebeneathfor.

What do I think when the worms wash in?
Or feel when they split their bodies

in half for the mulch?
For the muddy hands?

Is it against something those withered greens -
A stolen freshness

from the soil
once washed clean.
Feels like a long time since you posted, I really enjoyed the flow of this and I do love your voice.

My only complaint is that I find myself yearning for some separation on that last line, I think it would be more effective if it was after something of a slight pause.
