Hello,
I am a beginner. I just bought a washburn heritage guitar.
Are these good? They have metal strings.
Thanks,

Hi mate, welcome to the forums!

The Washburn is a pretty decent starters guitar. It'll get you quite a ways before you feel like you'll need an upgrade.

Good luck with the guitar playing! There are many resources here that can help you (particularly the Technique sub-forum, and the Acoustic sub-forum). Hopefully you'll become a regular!

That's a question that's best suited for the Acoustic forum, and you probably won't be needing to look for an upgrade now. I'd wait until you get more comfortable with the instrument, and more comfortable with what your preferences are. Then, when you feel like you actually do need the upgrade (or if you just have money to burn and don't care), go to stores and try out as many different guitars that you can. Figure out what's different, with the feel, the tone, the weight, etc.

But again, that's probably for a later time, and for the Acoustic sub-forum

Ok, Thanks!
I might use my bro's electric les paul guitar since he will let me have it. He has the amp and everything.
I really want to play electric, but I have been told to start out with acoustic.
