Hey guys, I'm curious... Was looking at Edwards guitars and the Alexi versions of those models look amazing, but the thing is, but unsure of what the additional costs would be, to be honest would it be worth, just buying this than having to go through the import duty and stuff?

Just curious as to what you guys thought on this.

Normally as a rough rule of thumb you'd assume 25% of the total cost plus postage

VAT is 20%

customs are ~3-4%

it's on the HMRC website if you want to check to be sure (don't quote me, in other words )
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Did a duty calculator, the prices seem good as it's pretty much exactly what I paid for my 2nd hand ESP Alexi, the thing that concerns me is in the Ebay it says Gig Bag and not Hardcase, but the ESP website says Hardcase.

Possible mistranslation? Not going to do it if it's a gigbag and not a beefy dinnertable of a case.

I'm not sure. My edwards came in a gigbag, but then it wasn't a more expensive signature model.

Didn't you just buy an LTD Alexi 600 and now you want an Edwards? wtf man.

My edwards didn't come with a hard case. It arrived fine.
