Looking at an Ironball, anyone played em? I wanted something for those mic'd gigs where I can't be bothered to lug my XXX around!

The XXX sounds more organic a bit maybe.
Though the only XXX I've tried was the one in the last version of revalver, so mmmv

The ironball is the most common-high-gain-tube-amp-like sounding ENGL, so they're worth a look if you like that kinda sound.
No wait, maybe the retro tube sounds even more like that...

Though you get my point.

Clue: amplifiers amplify so don't turn it on if you need quiet.

Yeah, I'm not saying the rest sounds bad 'cause it sounds less like a common high gain tube amp.

The powerball 2 is actually my favorite high gain guitar amp.
Though an organic, common-tube-amp-like sound isn't what comes out of it.

I shall play a bogner uberschall/twin jet as soon as I find one around.

It's not at all likely it will be anytime soon though.

What did it have more than other high gain amps?

Clarity and note definition but it stayed very saturated. IMO the best mix of a Mesa and a Marshall you'll ever get.

I still kick myself for selling mine (non twin-jet EL34) but the economy went to shit and my kids have this addiction to food and houses

I'll get another one day but until then my amps keep me content

Iron Ball Falldown is fun, easy to play, and very addictive game.

The object of the game is simple: Just tilt your device to control the ball. Fall down through the holes and avoid getting squished at the top. Pick up items by staying alive as long as possible.

The screen is constantly scrolling upwards, and if you're too slow and the ball ends up getting squished against the top, it's game over. You need to guide your little iron ball down through the gaps in the platforms by tilting your device from side to side.

Addictive, never-ending fight against gravity!

Features:
-Realistic physics
-Local High Scores
-HD graphics
-Easy to play

^ I can't seriously figure out if that was meant to be serious.

Well then I shall not play one even if I find it around - I'm not a big fan of mesa's high gain sounds and I definitely don't like the high gain marshall sound

I quite like the JVM 410 myself, I know it's not really liked among here though.
