Hey UG,

I have an Ibanez art 320 and it sounds really weak plugged in, like there's a blanket thrown over the speaker. My first guess is its the pickups (not the ground cause there's no exces humm). What'a weird is that I've never seen a guitar with active pickups that uses two double A batteries instead of a 9v.

Do i maybe need to use some sort of specific batteries?

please help out.

Try using regular alkaline batteries rather than rechargables (which sometimes have a lower voltage). But honestly, the pickups are probably just not getting power from the batteries. You may have to check connections...

Agreed on the Alkaline. Rechargables don't work quite the same in my experience.
